Installing FortiClient 4finance Unmanaged VPN on Android device

Note: To access the 4finance network from an unmanaged MacOS device, you will need to specify your mobile phone details for your 4finance account or configure the Authenticator app on your smartphone. You can find detailed instructions on how to set up multi-factor authentication in the manual here - How to set Multi-Factor Authentication

FortiClient installation

Please note that our Forticlient does not accept connections from networks using the IPv6 protocol. Ensure that your device is assigned an IPv4 address.

1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device and search for "FortiClient".

2. Download the application that matches exactly with "FortiClient" (see screenshot below).

3. Open the FortiClient application. You will be prompted to allow access to photos, media, files on your device, location, taking pictures, and recording video (screenshots below).

4. On the next screen, you will be provided with a login window. You can login using your Google, Linkedin account or enter your data manually. Please log in and click "Next" to continue.

5. On the next screen, activate the FortiClient application by pressing on "Specify EMS IP". Enter "ems.4finance.com" as the host and "8013" as the port, then click "Ok". Turn on the Zero Trust Telemetry settings (green circle in first screenshot).

6. After turning on Zero Trust Telemetry Settings, please wait for the connection until you get prompted about the Untrusted EMS certificate. Please allow it and wait for a successful connection.

7. Switch to the VPN menu from the Hamburger menu.

8. Click on the only available VPN connection and enter your 4finance email, password, and complete 2-factor authentication to connect to the 4finance Unmanaged VPN. Allow FortiClient to set up a VPN connection that allows it to monitor network traffic.

9. Congratulations! You have successfully connected to the 4finance Unmanaged VPN.
